racing, motorcycle

Bury the front.

Today was a blast! By mid-day we had sorted out the bike suspension and the bike was going anywhere I pointed it, any time. It was brilliant, and I'm having a blast.

This picture shows me railing through this up-down-off-camber-on-camber corner leading towards the front straight. You'll notice that the front suspension is fully used, with no fork showing (what we call "buried"). Collapse )

In fact, I was having so much fun railing hard into the corners and burying the front, that by the end of the day I was having trouble turning in. Why? Because my rear wheel was in the air, and you can't turn with only one wheel on the ground. (sorry, no picture of that)
conventions, party

Probably coming home tomorrow.

Unfortunately, it is likely that I won't be racing this weekend. I'm having a blast! But the shifting problem remains, and I've already worn a layer of skin off my toe. I'm totally working around it, but I suspect that I'm going to be too sore to race after tomorrow.

So... at this time, it seems likely I'll be around this weekend. Got any nice plans to help lure me back the bay area?
