Consumer Therapy -- Olympus SD-350 coming soon!

It's been nearly a year since my Fuji FinePix 6800 was stolen, and every week I find a reason to miss having a better camera than my Treo 650 supplies. With WorldCon just around the corner, I decided that *now* was the time.

I just bought an Olympus SD-350 camera.

Key reasons:

1. One of the smallest 8-megapixel cameras
2. One of the lightest cameras
3. Takes AA-batteries, including NiMH rechargables but any alkaline will do
4. Has a horseshoe mount for an external flash
5. Has a threaded lense so that I can mount telephoto and wide angle lenses
6. Very good reviews on picture quality
7. And it was only $199 from

The only very-well-known negative was very slow shutter speed and picture save times compared to the competition. However, it fares well in everything else and it's still half the delay compared to my previous camera, so I'll accept this as a potential annoyance and see how I like it when it arrives. Hopefully I'll have it next Thursday. (I'm at the racetrack on Monday - Wednesday)
