Triceratops died.

Last night I failed the sysadmin intelligence test, and did one more change before I left for the night. I swapped out a problematic network interface card in my personal colo server triceratops. That worked fine.

What didn't work fine was that the raid array didn't initialize properly, and fsck happened. Lots of fsck, and bad fsck at that. Suffice to say that my night got longer and longer, and I eventually had to migrate the sites back to a production server I have space on and leave triceratops lying dead on the operating table.

I got home to find that PG&E hadn't bothered to turn my gas service back on, and so I had to wait until 1am for a nice individual to do the work necessary for me to have a hot shower.
