Based on Dave Moss's advice, we changed from low preload, high compression to high preload, low compression. This worked better than I thought, and I ended up beating my fastest time at this track by more than 1.5 seconds.
But front->rear balance was off and the front was pushing until we started playing with rear compression and later preload. By the end of the day we had found what I believe was the best setting, but cold wind and cold track had lap times 4 seconds slower. Or so we think.
We'll continue with this setup at Laguna Seca in two weeks and see how it goes.
