J.K. Rowling's "Goblet of Fire" is a twisty maze of confusion and doubt. Much happens, less makes sense. Very little is clear until the end. In fact, it could be said that the end only leaves more questions. It is heartwrenching and poignant.
I rather liked the movie. It had its high points, and the visual delivery of hogwarts was definitely up to par. But the director apparently thinks that his audience is far too stupid to understand plots and subterfuge, so absolutely everything is laid open. Hidden things in the book are quite visible in the movie. Scenes that you only learn about at the end of the book play out right in front of your eyes in the opening sequence of the movie.
So it's a nice, visual reminder of the book. IF you have already read the book. But DO NOT watch this movie if you haven't read the book, because it will ruin the book for you.
