Drowning in avocados - want some?

We are literally drowning in avocados. They are everywhere. If you want some, please come get some. Drop me a text/call/e-mail to let me know you are coming but otherwise just come and get them.

Use the gate to the right of the front door. I've installed a user-friendly latch there. The electronic gate has some issues clearing the lock right now, so avoid that if you find it closed.

Man I wish I were in California--we can't grow avocado here. Or lemons, etc.

Very tempting. We have lots going on today. Any concept how good shape they'll be in by the end of the week?

Re: Mmmmmmmmmmm
No idea what shape they are in now.

From what I understand you are supposed to pick avocados and then wait a week for them to ripen, but I suspect many of the ones still on the vine are quite done by now. You'll also see a few hundred on the ground too which have fallen in the last rainfall and thus should be edible now-ish.

They are free, so YMMV is the rule here. Also "first come first serve" so whoever gets here sooner gets the best pick.

It sounds like we may be in the South Bay this weekend, so we may swing by if there are any left. :D

Yes, please drop by. Note the title: drowning. You can take a carful and we'll still have lots.
